Providing alcohol to a minor can seem harmless. However the negative consequences to the person who supplies the alcohol can be both serious and permanent.  One quick decision to buy alcohol for minors can have lasting consequences that can mean loss of employment, jail time and stiff fines.  For more information see the legal consequences section of this web site.

But beyond the personal loss of the provider, the health and safety of minors can be greatly compromised. Consider the possibilities – car accidents involving fatality, binge drinking involving alcohol poisoning, alcohol addiction that started with you as the buyer. For the health and safety of teens in your community, make a pledge not to buy or provide alcohol to minors.
